My 4 favorite Super Bowl Ads this year

I normally like watching the Super Bowl ads every year along with the game.  However, this year like most other watchers, I was pretty disappointed  with the ads that were shown during the show.  In particular, I thought that they biggest waste of money was by Salesgenie.com and by Bud Light. 

That being said, there were definitely some gems that stuck out for me.   Below, I have included my top four ads from the Superbowl.   What do you think?  Did I miss one in particular that you really liked or include one that you hated?

1) Mr. Oboe – NFL.com user generated content advertisement which we actually watched twice using the DVR in order to figure out if in fact it was a true story.  (It was)

2) Coca-Cola – Peanuts, Underdog, and Stewie.  As an ad agency executive said in the WSJ:  

"Awesome and exactly what a Super Bowl commercial should be," says Mark DiMassimo, chief executive of DiMassimo Goldstein, a boutique ad agency. "It’s big, epic, sunny and beautiful."

3) Bud Light – Will Ferrell commercial (primarily because it is such good co-marketing with the new movie, Semi-Pro)

4) Victoria’s Secret – Although it appeals to men as the target audience, the commercial actually got the most chuckles (I’m bringing it back) out of all of the commercials from the female population at the Super Bowl party that I attended.

  3. I dont know.   The Etrade one was a little randon in my opinion.   Especially the spitting up at the end?   Maybe that was to show that the baby was still at the end of the day just a baby and it could use Etrade.
     

  4. Thanks for sharing. I was on an airplane and the only think I got to see was the last five minutes, which of course were the best. If want you have is the cream of the crop then I definitely didn\’t miss anything.
