Am I pumped about the new Windows Live Photo Gallery!

As those of you that actually read my space know (which doesn’t feel like many since no one leaves me comments or messages…), I don’t tend to write about Windows Live Spaces or Microsoft because I want to maintain the blog as a personal endeavor not a work endeavor.

That being said, we released a new photo viewing and editing client yesterday called Windows Live Photo Gallery and although I have been using the internal version for the past three months, I am really pumped about the new features in the publicly released version.

The main reason is that its UI is very simple to get photos off my camera, it is really easy to manage, rotate, and rename my photos, and most importantly it is drop-dead simple to post photos to my Spaces albums.  Check out the recent pictures from last weekend’s trip to Snow Lake.

Plus now on Spaces I can upload high-resolution photos (up to 1600×1600) and print them directly from Spaces using Snapfish.   Pretty damn sweet I have to say!  Look for more pictures on my space in the near future.

  1. I\’m right there with you – I\’m really stoked about the potential for the Live services initiative.  I\’ve been a big user of Hotmail for years and have found a number of the new services (like the Messenger, Live Favorites, Spaces, & SkyDrive) very useful.  The interconnectedness via Live.com of all these is fantastic and I\’m looking forward to seeing how they evolve in the future.
