Medellin? Is it really going to be a movie or is Entourage messing with us?
I am a fan of Entourage and in the show, Vincent Chase buys the rights to a film about Pablo Escobar’s life called Medellin. They had a few episodes about them making the movie and it looked pretty cool. However, I never thought that there was actually the possibility of it becoming a real movie.
However, before and after the episode tonight, there were teasers about Medellin "coming soon" and it didn’t look like a promotion for the TV show. It actually seems like HBO is either putting out a real version of Medellin or they are just trying to mess with us as a way to drum up hype for the show….(it seems to be working as i am writing about it…).
I am not aware of any movie to date about Escobar but I may be mistaken. For that, I would need to consult either my high school friend Andy Callahan who is a writer out in Los Angeles or John McCarron, another high school friend who is one of the biggest film buffs I know. Or just check IMDB but that isnt as much fun…
Either way, after learning more about Pablo Escobar in Killing Pablo by Mark Bowden a few years ago, I think that a movie version of Escobar’s life would be phenomenal. So I hope the teaser is actually real and not a tease….

You know, I was a huge fan of Entourage during seasons 1 and 2. I\’ve been watching a few of them on hbo these days and the quality of the show has gone downhill. It feels like the same story over and over again. Turtle and Drama do the exact same jokes from seasons 1 and 2, E is annoying me, and Vincent Chase… there\’s just not much to him. They need to give Arie more air time if you ask me.
