Barack Obama = Spammer?

Since I used to work at Yahoo!, I still have a Yahoo! email address but I only check it once a week or so. That being said, when I checked my email last night I had nine new emails and four of them were from Barack Obama. Can you say spam? I actually really like Barack and think that he has done a great job with taking his campaign online, but this is way over the top. At no point did I register my Yahoo! email address with BarackObama.com and even if mistakenly I did at some point, four emails in two days is just plain spam (see the images inline). As a marketer and product manager, I try and hold myself to high standards and as a result I feel that others should too. I guess the fact that the Obama campaign doesn’t is the result of the problem of mixing online marketing and politics with no restrictions…. can you say "Campaign Online Marketing Reform"? Okay, enough ranting…. Im off to enjoy the amazing weather in Seattle!

2/27 UPDATE: It is official. He is a confirmed spammer. I now receive between 1-2 emails a day from Barack. I dont want to remove myself from whatever mailing list I became a member of because it is almost a joke now.
If you want to foward the mails to my personal email, I can ping someone on their online team to see what\’s up.
