Thoughts on the new Spiderman movie?
I just saw the new Spiderman trailer (check out the gadget I put on my Space to see it for yourself) and I am a little concerned that Spiderman is going the way of most other "comic book" movies.
At some point, the comic book stories become unfamiliar to the mass of people that only know a few of the "villains" in the story. When that happens, the movies become more like sci-fi and less like an action movie and as a result, they lose their appeal to me.
The one movie series that painfully sticks out in my mind is Batman. The first one was amazing and then they steadily got worse and worse until they brought it back to "reality" with Batman Begins. Batman Begins was more historical and as a result, it was much better.
