Scotland Golfing – Does it get any better???

So it has been a long time since I last posted anything to my blog since I was caught up in graduation from Kellogg and the whole ordeal of packing and preparing for my trips. I am in London now though and am leaving this evening for Rwanda. I cant wait. A quick recap from Scotland though.

The Scotland golf trip was amazing. My father, brother, and I all left for Scotland on the 26th with the intention of playing lots of great golf, drinking some scotch, and having some Keating family male bonding. We achieved all three objectives and more.

We played some of the world’s top ranked courses including St. Andrews (Old and New) course, Turnberry (Ailsa), Prestwick, Carnoustie, Royal Troon, Kingsbarns, Western Gailes, and the Duke’s over the course of 8 days. We got lucky some days with sun and warm weather and then others we were tramping down the fairways through torrential rainstorms. It wouldnt be Scotland if we didnt get any rain.

We got some great pictures from the trip which I will include here once my father posts them, but I was also able to knock my handicap down to a 15 which was huge for me. I even shot an 88 at the St. Andrews Old Course on the last day. What a phenomenal way to end the trip. I look forward to doing the trip again in the near future!
