Jackson Hole – Why so many country stations? Plus, pictures from skiing
After spending the weekend in Jackson Hole and driving 30 minutes each way to the mountain, I got a little frustrated because there was nothing on the radio besides Country Music stations. So…we counted the number of stations and it turns out that there are 8 separate country stations in the Jackson, WY area.
Does anyone understand 1) why any town needs that many country stations? Are there really that many different types of country music that they can play to differentiate themselves and 2) is there really no enterprising company that can come in and create a non-country radio station? I would even take the "Jack" radio network….
On a different note, the skiing was amazing and Jackson Hole is a spectacular mountain for challenging terrain and amazing views everywhere you turn. Check the pics out below.
